Neil grew up listening to reggae. His first influences were Bob Marley, ub40, Jimmy Cliff and Black Uhuru together with many others

Neil first picked up the microphone at a local karaoke show in 2001. Since then he has not looked back, building an ever growing following of like minded reggae lovers who come and hear Neil at the local pubs singing songs from ub40’s massive hits catologue. The first song he tried was ‘Come Back Darling’. Soon Neil gained a huge reputation for singing all ub40’s hits, and from this foundation moved easily into other reggae songs.

His association with a local reggae band gave rise to remarkable success, both  locally and nationally. One of the highlights was playing alongside 90’s uk reggae star Pato Banton  in which Neil sang  no1 hit ‘Baby Come Back’.
He recently had acknowledgement from ‘the  legendary wailers’ of his renditions of Bob Marley’s songs which Neil considers to be a great honour

Stars In Their Eyes
Neil narrowly missed out on performing on Granada Television’s “Stars In Their Eyes” where he reached the final audition stages as Ali Campbell, lead singer of ub40

Neil is equally at home performing in clubs, concert venues and at private functions and easily adapts his varied programme to suit particular needs or requirements
